Oui'wack is a DJ/Producer from Holland.
From the looks of it I can see him being a rising star for 2011. He's been getting some support from an impressive list of big names in the industry including Diplo, Brodinski, Tocadisco, BeatauCue & more! He also reached number 24 on the Beatport house chart for his track "Jungle Wars."
and we were lucky to have a little chin wag with him the other day, even though his English isn't that good.

BS. – Hey man, Can you provide those who may not know you with a bit of background info?
Oui'wack – I am a DJ/producer trying to give the world some extra noise. My roots are in India but born and raised in Holland in a small town next to Utrecht.

BS. – You've got a very distinct sound, but how would you describe it in 3 words?
Oui'wack – Jungle, Industry, Bananas

BS. – Was there anything that initially introduced you to DJ'ing and the electronic music culture?
Oui'wack – It was when I went to a DJ set from Tiesto in 1999 @ van Diepens Dance Department!!
At that moment I thought he was creating all the sounds in his set. I also thought all the songs he played were produced by him.

BS. – What would you say is your favourite part of your musical creations? The instruments used? The samples? The reception?
Oui'wack – Definitely arranging the drums. That's the part where I am dancing in my room while clicking buttons and hammering on my keyboard.

BS. – Where are you getting your inspiration from right now?
Oui'wack – Fighting monkeys, dancing girls & Dr Pepper

BS. – You're just about to release a new EP, Herbsman, tell us about the tracks on it...
Oui'wack – The EP is a selection of tracks I made in the second half of 2010. "Herbsman" & "Boobytrap" are very percussive tracks to give another dimension on the dance floor.
"Tomahawk" is a track where I get the vision of Arabian belly dancers around a native Indian campfire in the middle of the jungle.
"Zomburaku" is the final track, where I get the image of hypnotized hot African zombie chicks dancing with flaming sticks.

BS. – Who would you say is your favourite producer(s) is? Why?
Oui'wack – At the moment it is absolutely Douster. His drum patterns are so disoriented. I love it. Also love his urban influences.
